The world suddenly seems... wrong.
Something has happened to you. Something has changed inside. You feel power growing in you that you don't understand or know how to control.
Those you've known and loved now look at you with apprehension. You've been careful not to tell them too much or show them what you can do, but they sense the changes in you anyway. Their fear of you grows.
As you walk the streets that once felt so familiar, you sense the presence of others. You catch glimpses, shadows, hiding at the edges of your vision. You hear whispers. You can't understand the words, but you know they are calling you.
Even worse is what you see when you close your eyes. Terrible visions flash through your mind... images of haunting beauty and unspeakable horror... ecstacy and suffering as one. You don't know what it means, but you sense that it is coming.
You have been Gifted, and your world will never be the same.
